Our Opinion: This is a beautifully produced field guide, with excellent color photos. Family summaries are followed by individual species accounts, which include seasonal bar graphs, length, wingspan, and weight, identification details, flight, feeding, vocalization, nesting, and other behavior details, diet, habitat and breeding areas, distribution and migration and a distribution map. The multiple color photos usually show and label various plumages. The paperback binding is reinforced with a plastic jacket.
