Review:
'One of the best bird field guides ever published.' --Oriental Bird Club Bulletin.
'This guide is a magnificent achievement, regionally without peer, and clearly the essential guide for future visitors to the region.' --World Birdwatch, journal of BirdlLife International
Our Opinion: Excellent color illustrations, concise text, and a reasonable field size. There is a new edition, 2008 (See item # 11436-E2), but this 2005 edition is still considered the best. The new edition has updated taxonomy and nomenclature, but reviewers have described the newer version as too large and heavy for the field, poorly organized, with the accounts separate from the plates, and, through larger, less comprehensive.
