With 2 plates in color and 140 photographs and text figures from drawings by the author. The first fliers were leather-winged pterodactyls, later came the true feather-winged birds. A reptilian lizard was the ancestor of the latter. The history of these strange creatures as presented in this book will prove interesting to scientists and the general public alike. 209 pages. Good.
