Each volume covers a group of birds and all species accounts include live action video, range maps and professionally recorded narratives that describe field marks, behavior and habitat. Audio recordings of songs and calls are also included for most birds. This collection, which includes over 600 species, encompasses 30 years of field photography. All material has been digitized, enhanced and color graded, then edited with state of the art technology and software. During the editing process each disc in the series was submitted to accredited ornithologists for their professional review and evaluation. Their comments, suggestions and corrections were incorporated prior to final editing. This disc covers 44 species; Sparrows, Towhees, Juncos and Buntings. Each species presentation is accompanied by range maps, graphics and narration which is informative and descriptive by nature. Each species grouping is preceded by a general overview. Overviews and species narration provide an educational and informative insight to each group and the species within that group.
