Shipping costs are calculated by weight, and the website is unable to quote flat-rate expedited options. If your package qualifies for a lower rate, we will apply it automatically.

Books and media may be returned within 14 days for a refund or credit of the cost of the item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable as part of a regular return; we will refund the cost of the item.
If the reason for return is due to a mistake on the part of Buteo Books, we will of course refund shipping in full.
Please contact us to request a return. You may use any shipping method you choose, but we highly recommend a traceable method. Please enclose a copy of the original receipt to ensure proper credit. Please be sure to pack the products with sufficient cushioning to ensure that they arrive in new condition. Damage during return shipping due to poor packaging will result in a discounted refund. A refund will be made by the same method as original payment unless you arrange otherwise.
Buteo Books offers gift certificates in any amount, which are good for one year from the date of purchase. No postage charge for mailing certificates alone. You can choose to have them mailed to you, so that you can present it yourself, or we can mail them directly to the recipient, with a gift card. Shipping cost and tax can be paid for using a gift certificate. If the total order amount, including merchandise, shipping, and sales tax (for Virginia customers only) exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, the remainder can be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or check.
Prices are in U.S. Dollars, and prices listed on this site are subject to change without notice. Publishers often raise prices, and international currency exchange rates and shipping costs force us to cover our costs. We make every attempt to keep prices on this site current, but human or computer error may result in an incorrect listing. Please contact us for up-to-date pricing and availability information.
You may be subject to taxes and/or duties levied by your province or country, and Buteo Books is not responsible for keeping up-to-date information for every country. If you refuse shipment because you are surprised by these taxes and duties, you are still liable to Buteo Books for outbound and return postage and any other costs it incurred in trying to fill your order.
ARE YOUR BOOKS NEW OR USED?
Books are new unless condition is described.
If you would prefer not to place your order online, you may print out our order form in either HTML or PDF to assist you in placing your order. You may then contact us by phone, fax, e-mail or mail to place your order. Please provide your name, shipping address, and either telephone or e-mail address in case we need to contact you. We will also need the credit card number, expiration date, and name on card.

Errors: Please double check your address for typographical errors, especially the zip code or postal code. Although we attempt to verify addresses, we can't catch everything, and we cannot be responsible for lost packages due to this type of error.
Prepayment is required by check, money order, or credit card in US Dollars. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit cards. Please provide card number, name on card, and expiration date. For security purposes, please do not send cash or request CODs. PayPal is possible by special request, but any applicable fees must be paid by the buyer.
Charging Your Credit Card
We do not charge your credit card until the date we ship your merchandise to you. Orders are subject to verification and acceptance before shipping. We are not responsible for delays due to typographical errors, but will make every attempt to contact you to correct the information and complete the order.
If your order is sent in multiple shipments (due to backorders or special request), your credit card will be charged separately for each shipment.
Payment by Check
You can complete checkout online choosing payment by check, then mail your check with a copy of your receipt. Once we receive prepayment, your order will be shipped to you.
If your check is returned for any reason, our bank will electronically debit your account for the amount of the check plus a processing fee of $35.
