Product Details

A photographic journey through Morocco's most representative species, following six birdwatching routes, showcasing and describing the most attractive and representative species of the Moroccan avifauna. Emphasis is placed on the photographs, accompanied by brief but authoritative texts, mentioning the bird's habits and most remarkable features, as well as its conservation status, when relevant. The book has a foreword by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa of Morocco, sister of King Mohamed VI and President of the Moroccan Foundation for the Protection of the Environment. The book is organized in six chapters, corresponding to routes that follow some of the most popular birdwatching itineraries in the country. Each chapter includes a short introduction on some of its landscape and cultural attractions, and individual descriptions and photographs of its most relevant bird species. There is also a chapter dedicated to extinct and critically endangered birds. There are 84 species described and depicted, in 331 original photographs that also include landscapes and cultural features, the most complete collection of quality photographs of North African birds published to date.
