Bonus materials, including PDFs with track listings, precise call and song descriptions, and helpful hints on distinguishing sounds of similar species, as well as a new original piece from the Stokes and more, will be included on these discs. Reissued and repackaged, including a brand-new additional PDF and MP3 CD with audio in MP3 format with the human voice-over removed. The publishers of this new edition did not enclose printed booklets. Instead, they included them as printable PDF files on a special 'bonus' disc. To access the and print the booklets, place the "bonus MP3" disc into your CD-rom drive on your computer. For PC users, the following things might happen:
*A popup window should appear asking What do you want Windows to do? Choose - Open Folder to View Files.
*If the popup does not appear, click Start on your desktop, then My Computer, then double-click the CD-Rom (or DVD-Rom) drive, which should say 'Stokes Guide to Bird Songs'.
*Or, the disc might open the folder itself, in which case a window listing the audio files will pop up. In that list is also a PDF file called Eastern_Booklet_.pdf and/or Western_Booklet_.pdf
If you have trouble finding it, Arrange files by Type, which will separate all of the audio files from the PDF file. Double-click that file, and it will open a PDF window, which will be printable.
